3 days, 3 events!

September 10th to 12th were days busy with events!

First Prof Magnus Domellöf gave a presentation on the ‘Importance of early intervention with the right nutrition’ to over 60 pediatric dietitians attending a conference in Stockholm arranged by Nestlé Health Sciences on Wednesday 10 September.

Immediately afterwards it was on to Gothenburg where the national SWIDDICH study had a meeting on Thursday 11 September. Here Prof Domellöf was joined by fellow N4 member Anna Chmielewska, as well as pediatric research nurses Marie Lindvall and Gunilla Strinnholm.

More information on the SWIDDICH study can be found on its dedicated website; https://swiddich.se/en/start-en/

The SWIDDICH meeting was this time arranged in conjunction with a Nordic Iodine Conference. The programme included sessions on ‘Current activity in each Nordic country in research and governmental areas’, ‘How to improve iodine intake?’, and ‘The effect of mild ID on outcomes’ as well as presentations of a number of PhD projects.

As part of the Nordic Iodine Conference, Prof Domellöf gave a presentation covering both an update from the NorthPop study and on iodine nutrition.

“These were hectic days but great to be able to communicate our research results and we are happy to be part of the SWIDDICH study which have just finalized recruitment” said Prof Magnus Domellöf following the events.
