Congress of joint European Neonatal Societies (jENS) 21-25 October 2025, Belgrade

The 6th congress of the joint European Neonatal Societies took place in Belgrade 21-25 October.

A couple of researchers directly affiliated with the N4 Research Group were in attendance in Serbia and had been selected to give presentations.

PhD student Pontus Challis presented his abstract ‘More active nutrition policies are associated with improved growth and reduction of retinopathy of prematurity in extremely preterm infants: a dual national cohort study’.

PhD student Malin Bergman-Papworth had an abstract from the INSPIRE study (‘Enhancing preterm infant development with responsive parenting and e-health – The INSPIRE intervention’) chosen for a poster walk but unfortunately had to cancel her attendance due to illness.

Prof Magnus Domellöf participated and presented in the pre-congress course ’Neonatal gastroenterology, metabolism and nutrition’ as well as chairing a parallel session on Nutrition.

Many other national and international N4 collaborators were in attendance.

“This was a great meeting with many novel presentations and great networking” said Prof Magnus Domellöf following the congress.
